grew up in Los Alamos. She left the Land of Enchantment for college and
life as a military wife, mom, and freelance writer in various
locations, including Guam. A craving for green chile and mountains drew
her home to New Mexico. She has been a children’s librarian with
the Albuquerque Public Library system and the youth services
coordinator at the New Mexico State Library. Valerie Nye is a native of New Mexico. Educational opportunities and careers pulled her away from her native state for over ten years, but being far from home made her fully appreciate Santa Fe’s delightfully unique breakfasts all the more. Nye is currently an assistant professor and serials librarian at the College of Santa Fe. |
